My advice...keep posting and adding content to your forums (atleast one a day) and try to get a real domain name if you can. Getting www.domain.com instead of a sub-domain will do you a lot more good, plus you may be able to create custom tags in your meta content that way via foumsplace t's and c's.

Pay for the hosting if they require you to for the www.domain.com of your choice, it would be worth it in my opinion since there are no bandwidth limits or category or post limits with them.

See if forumsplace offers apache mod re-write support or hacks with their forum script, or maybe someone has already done it on their own. This will create static url strings for all your posts instead of sessionId url strings (search engine friendly urls).

Work on building quality relevant links to your forum homepage. You can even link to specific posts or categories within your site. The more quality ones the better! If the links are part of an exchange do NOT link to just anyone, make sure to check to see if their page is indexed in google and has PR. If you can get one-way links to your site that would be the best (from related websites in your industry).

You may want to hire an SEO professional to guide you through in more detail or even do the work for you. These guys (submit express) are great and get results or you can contact me via my profile or signature link.

Respectfully my friend, Get a better site.

I mean, this is your business, not a hobby or personal artwork,
your site should say, I've been in business a while, I am a specialist,
and I offer you the expertise you won't get elsewhere.

Please forgive me if my words are harsh, trying to help here.

Suggestion:

1) If your forum is so important, make it more front and center than just over there on the far right end. Make it the First Tab option on the Left.

2) Spend a day customizing the forum easthetics as much as possible,
then create a age template from the new forum design, then build the rest of your sites pages and content to match your custom forum.

Hope this helps... Smile
