You can use 5 subdomains with a single domain. This is the minimum facitily available in almost all Domain packages.

Do you know why there is a limit of 5? On my hosting plan I get 10 subdomains per domain.

For some free hostings, like blogger and wordpress, they allow you to use your own domain instead of using their subdomain. You'll just need to set the nameserver on your domain management.
