People use Twiiter just to get soem news and to communicate with each other and i think to get some friends. Most people, as far as i know, just lack comunicaton and they use Twitter to talk to people e.g. some housewives.

As we become more hungry for instantaneous communication, social networking sites like twitter becomes even more indispensable. Twitter is idiot-proof and easily accessible. With the click of a mouse, we can get info about friends and families who live in a different continent. No more need for expensive phone calls.

You can earn money with twitter buy selling your tweets if you have lots of targeted followers. It is also a good place of networking to other people.
You can, as well, use Twitter to advertise your business such as your website or any products and services.

The only reason we need Twitter is to make more money right here right now. In a few months it will start fade out just like MySpace did, just like Facebook did, etc.
Oh, what am I saying. Twitter is already fading out - 60% of new users drop it the next month.
