Hi there

I have worked reasonably hard recently on improving my website's position on Google but to no avail.

I have targeted "web design birmingham" as the key search term but cannot, whatever i do, seem to improve the site's position on this, which currently, is, erm, nowhere!

I have done well on Google for other sites, even on this search term too, so am a bit confused.

If anyone can suggest suitable reasons or suggestions, i would be very grateful,

Thank You.

Tom - The website address is www.juicywebdesign.co.uk.

First thing I'd suggest is getting your page rank up.

Google has a page rank tool bar that will allow you to see your page-rank and increasing page-rank will help you place on the engines for your targeted key phrases. Currently your page rank is "0" This happens by increasing your links from high ranking sites. (avoid link exchanges with a million low or "0" ranked sites, instead focus on a limited number of really high ranking sites.)

Secondly, you should add some alt text w/ your targeted keyphrases on those top graphics...

email me if you want to chat about it some more - m. wier

Better to maintain sub-folders for each language translation, with each home page indexed to your main site's home page ... and this will help you to really promote the main site and each language site will get its rank from your main home page.

Building links with your targeted keywords is need a lot of effort. You need to acquire tons of links specially related to your niche. Forums is the best thing to do if you want to ranked well with your keywords. BTW, I wonder how long you've been doing link building using web design birmingham? and what is your website?
