Sure, why not!? But ideally, you should choose keywords that are not too competitive but still generate good volume of searches. Check that information on Google keyword tool.

Hi.
Computer is attractive keyword that can create traffic to your site but it is common
keyword. I think you should choose one unique keyword that shows that your site
is about graphic design.

my approach would be to find the most relevant keywords to describe my business and to sumbit the ones that don't have that much comptetition

your keyword should be related to your site. You won't rank high on the keyword you choose because its not related.
