Why does it change a fluctuation result every day?

:?: When my own site is checked using this tool (Link Popularity Check Tool
), why does the result of each site fluctuate?
The day before yesterday, the figure of a result has decreased about 400 in MSN.

Link pop tool numbers will fluctuate often. Usually MSN shows the highest amount of links, followed by Yahoo (and partners) and finally Google.

MSN's crawler is very active and will usually get your links pages indexed first out of the three. Sometimes I find the numbers to be a little higher than they should be since they count all pages (even multiple pages on the same site) as links.

It is just a general guideline of ABOUT how many links are pointing at your site. MSN shifts that number the most on that tool.

Yes, I have the same problem. I was very surprised when the MSN link popularity decreased on 400 links. But next day it increased again.

I agree that MSN updates its index very often. For example, it visits my site almost every hour when Google one-two times a day.

You can even refresh the tool and see your links drop then increase again, its kinda funny but your will get an idea of how many links you have on each se

They have been updating their results since the Bing went live. This must have something to do with their strategy to compeye with Google.

Also I wonder if they are planning to merge their results with the Yahoo ones.

It is always not accurate. At least they gave the nearest possible results. Somehow gave us an estimation. As millions are aiming to get high backlinks, there are delays on update.

The fluctuations could be normal to happen frequently for the new websites and the only solution seems to be adding good one way links to them.

It's a normal thing. Ranking fluctuations happen all the time because of competition. Build more links for your site to get a more stable ranking.

Yes Search Engine change their algorithm very often and because of that result gets fluctuate.
