keyword seperated by

My question is I have numerous pages containing tables with pictures next to the item number.

The item number is a keyword by itself but most importantly is the prefix. In other words “XYZ” is #1 important but XYZ is also “XYZ RED” “XYX BLUE” “XYZ GREEN” exc.

I am trying to avoid over saturating my keyword. As it stands now “XYZ” will be seen 15 - 25 times on some pages. should I call them “XYXBLUE” or “XYZ-BLUE” ?

Same question about pictures or meta tags. When people do a search by keyword “XYZ” space “BLUE” or possibly “XYZBLUE” To obtain results both ways do I have to type both?

Good question I have the exact same issue.

I know over doing it is obviously bad, but I think what our friend here is trying to point out is, that in this situation, its completely legit. So where does that line get drawn between legit and over-doing it.

Suggestions anyone?

I am not sure about over-optimization but I know some search engines such as google will index both XYZ and BLUE if you use XYZ-BLUE.

Are you saying keyword stuffing is no longer seen as spam? Does that mean its not conidered bad either or will result in a penalty down the road!

No at this situation it will be not viewed as spam using keywords independently wont hurt. Suppose that I am targetting search engine marketing and search engine optimization and both of these keywords have a frequency of suppose 10 then both of them appear 10 times but the word search engine appears 20 times but this is not spamming.

Dont worry about that.

Combine your keywords and just don't spam your keywords over and over again. I guess it would be better if you list them like XYZ Blue, Green, Red, etc.

Increase content volume, and then by definition your KW density will go down.
