You can try the any of the basic link building techniques. Many of them have already been mentioned. You can also include links in your forum signatures.

I believe the general advice is to use a mixture of methods - forum posting, directory submissions, blog commenting, social media/bookmarking eg squidoo furl mixx digg, article submissions and links from other websites - especially related ones. Use a mixture of good anchor text.

Building links is the hardest part of SEO.  You need to learn different techniques just to earn links. For me, blog posting is the most effective in all of the strategies.

I agree! quality backlinks are more important than on quantity. Create back links on PR sites and more importantly, related to your niche. Link exchange and blog comments are also effective link building technique

SEO is a long term job. If you want results you must promote your site today and expect to real results after few months...
Anyway, blog commenting, forum signatures and 3-way link exchange will boost your site in SERPs.
