Is it just me or does Microsoft's newly rebranded search engine: "Bing" lacking in the sole thing it is suppose to be good at: Searching. Sure it looks pretty in areas but come on after all these constant rebranding you'd think that they would put time into the search algorithms. I was doing more tests on the new thing and it just sux. Hey Microsoft, spend more time on the Bang and less time on the Bling.

IMO, bing won't fail. Google might have felt the heat right now.

I don't think Bing will really stand out and be the number one. It will always be Google now.

Bing uses page factoring while Google uses PageRank. I think both have almost similar algorithms but Google is stricter with regards to quality backlinks...

just my observation though... i am not an expert.. =)

Is the changing of Microsoft Live Search to Bing simply a change of a name, similar to when MSN's search engine first changed to Live Search? Or is there something more to this change? Skeptics will tell you that it is just another case of Microsoft rebranding of something that that is not working as well as it had hoped. Microsoft and Bing's fans will tell you that the change to Bing is something more. Who is right? Most likely everybody is on to something.

I am glad to see some competition for Google even if they only nip away part of the market. I hope they get their act together. Google is so arrogant. I am always looking for alternatives for advertising and search.
