There is a new trojan with the old name "filmaker" that has been making the rounds and it attacks avg users and embeds it self in to the windows office suite. New, clean hardrives with new XP OS does'nt solve the problem. There is a new patch from AVG but it only identifies the program. Windows IE8 get hijacked and nothing but pop-ups and redirects.
when Firefox is installed it get shut down immediately.
It is a good idea to keep and bandwith meter running on individual computers to see if it is being hijacked.
Thank god my owner computer has Avast. Adaware and ZoneLabs for a firewall.
Anyway if you happen to get this one. Back-up all your data but not the programs that run them. A total clean install is the only thing that can possibly fix it.

I agree with you, Avast Anti-virus is so much better at getting rid of computer viruses. AVG kinda sucks. _________________ Delta-Larm Sheet Metal Fabricating |

well, there's no "perfect" anti-virus. these tiny f***ers will penetrate your pc as easy as 123 no matter how "secured" you think your system are. I've used deep freeze and so far so good for almost 2 years now. no complain. viruses can come and go, just press restart and you're going back in clean state. _________________ contractor web design |
