Italian Cooks Up New Search Engine
|
|
Verona, Italy - (Website Hosting Directory) - April 12, 2006 - A new search engine has been developed by Italian entrepreneur, software programmer, and baker, Marco Montresor.
Mr. Montressor commented, ''If people need to buy a computer, it makes no sense to see a long list of links to web pages talking about computers. It's easier to search for the word 'computer' and have a direct link to a site that sells computers.''
Mr. Montresor continued, ''There must be a new and simple way to find products on the Internet without losing yourself in links.'' Mr. Montresor believes that people need a new form of advertising, and now, by buying words, they have a new way to directly link to their site. His aim was to create something new, simple and innovative for the Internet world that captures the imagination, and is, most importantly, useful.
Mr. Montressor surmises that, over time, the words will offer good value to businesses because the words are endless, theirs forever, and the site will be kept online for as long as possible.
''The Word Wide Web'' is designed to enable advertisers the ability to buy any word to link to their site and products, personal page, blog or anything else. But the novelty is in the fact that the advertiser is the only owner of the word and forever.
Milena, one of his bakers, commented, ''I knew that Marco had some economic problems and I offered him temporary work in my bakery, but he pestered me to buy the word 'bread' instead, offering me a new way to advertise my products on the web.''
Mr. Montressor continued, ''In the site I offer different tools for searching words including a toolbar, browser plug-in and banners. I hope that larger companies can buy the more useful and common words as soon as possible, while they are available.''
