LYCOS Releases Free Mail Beta

Waltham, Massachusetts - (Cheap Web Hosting Directory) - August 7, 2006 - LYCOS, Inc. has released its new LYCOS Mail beta service, and, according to the company, it is the only free web mail product to offer 3 GB of free storage and the ability to send and receive essentially unlimited file attachments of any length.
With the new LYCOS Mail, users can now email photos, videos, music files and more in one message. Intended for users who share large files, which makes it different than other web mail products on the market. In a recent Forrester Research report (The State of Internet Access, Forrester Research, Inc., April 2006), it was noted that more than 50 percent of online U.S. households are using broadband. With 3 GB of storage for free, (5 GB as a paid for premium option) LYCOS Mail users can take advantage of broadband to share and receive large video, image and audio files with their friends.
The leading competitive free web mail products are limited to receiving only 10 megabytes in total attachments. The new LYCOS Mail provides the same product features as the original LYCOS Mail, with the added benefit of being the first-to-market with 3 GB of free storage combined with the ability to send and receive essentially unlimited size file attachments.
